Raspberry Pi Zero — это самый маленький одноплатный Raspberry Pi мини-компьютер. Сделан на базе однокристальной системе Broadcom BCM2835, что вмещает в себя процессор на одно ядеро ARMv6Z ARM1176JZF-S с тактовой частотой 1 ГГц, графический процессор Broadcom VideoCore IV и 512 МБ ОЗУ SDRAM LPDDR2.
Raspberry Pi Zero имеет 40-контактный GPIO (General Purpose Input/ Output), но без штырьковых разъемов, композитный видео-выход (TV), разъем (RUN) для сброса, два разъема micro-USB (один для питания, второй для подключения периферийных USB устройств), разъем mini-HDMI. Питать нужно от 5-вольтового адаптера через разъём micro-USB.
Raspberry Pi Zero работает в основном на операционных системах, основанных на Linux ядре: Raspbian, Ubuntu MATE, Ubuntu Core, OSMC, OpenELEC, LibreELEC, Android, Arch Linux ARM, openSUSE, Gentoo Linux, CentOS, Fedora, Kali Linux и др..
