Микросхема имеет полный набор функций защиты OCP (англоязычная аббревиатура OCP — Over Current Protection/Защита от перегрузки по току) и по температуре. При превышении температуры выше 150 °C, срабатывает тепловая защита, которая отключается при 130 °C.
Модуль HW-613 на базе MP2315 хорошо подходит для замены распространённых стабилизаторов L78xx в корпусе TO220, может применяться в схемах плоскопанельных телевизоров и мониторов, ноутбуках, зарядки различных гаджетов и в схемах питания прочей электроники.

Схема включения MP2315
MP2315 требует минимального количества легкодоступных стандартных внешних компонентов и доступен в компактном 8-контактном корпусе TSOT23.
Вывод EN используется для включения и выключения модуля путем подачи логических «1» и «0» соответственно. В модуле присутствует подтягивающий резистор к выводу питания через резистор 200К.
Регулировка выходного напряжения
Выходное напряжение можно регулировать подстрочным резистором (см. ниже)
или задать фиксированным 1.8В, 2.5В, 3.3В, 5В, 9В или 12В. Для использования фиксированных напряжений нужно разрезать дорожку ADJ (см. ниже) и запаять перемычку напротив нужного напряжения.
Если установить 5В, то можно заряжать смартфоны, планшеты, mp3 плееры, навигаторы и прочие переносные, карманные устройства. От данного модуля можно заряжать даже Iphone и Ipad, поскольку обеспечивает необходимый выходной ток.
Подключение модуля HW-613
Модуль имеет четыре главных контакта, напряжение питания от 6 до 24В постоянного тока подаётся на разъём IN+ («+» от источника питания), на VO+ подключается («+») нагрузка и GND — общий контакт. EN — включение/выключение модуля (1/0).
